Health-E Community homes utilize a weather-resistive barrier as part of the exterior wall system that protects building materials from exterior water penetration. The house is literally wrapped with a housewrap product that resists air infiltration and water intrusion, yet is engineered to readily allow moisture vapor to diffuse through the wrap.

By keeping building materials dry, a weather-resistive barrier improves building durability, decreases maintenance costs, and reduces the risk of moisture-related problems such as bugs, mold, mildew, and rot.
